2 answersFor small numbers, embroidery on a mid-range polo. There is no per-colour cost and no screen setup, so ten pieces cost roughly ten times one piece. For a hundred plus identical prints, screen printing gets cheaper per unit.
Don't let 'cheapest per item' be the only test. A DTF print looks identical to screen print at low volume but degrades faster in a wash-heavy trade like catering — so the cheaper option on day one can be the more expensive one over two years of reordering.
